fabulous place to relax and unwind. absolutely recommend. Easy to grab a bus to Salento or Armenia to buy supplies or explore. Well equipped kitchen and plentiful lounge areas to sit and absorb the gorgeous environment. Luz is welcoming, accommodating and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. I’ll be back. x

The stay at Boquia house was amazing. Patricias sister was very welcoming and helped us a lot with planning trips and other arrangements. In 5 minutes by bus you can be in salento, which is a more vivid area compared to the calm place of the airbnb.

We stayed a couple of nights in Boquia House and enjoyed it a lot. The location as well as the view is fantastic (in case you don’t mind a 30min walk on a small uphill path through the rainforest to get to Salento or alternatively a short bus ride which starts just a couple of meters from the entrance gate). Patricia is an amazing hosts and provides you with information and tips. Our room was not hugh, but big enough for the couple of nights we stayed there. We felt welcome and do recommend staying at Boquia House.

I kid you not, the best bed I’ve ever had for a hostel. It was amazing! They were of great help with everything you need, from breakfast till tea to cure a little flu. I would recommend everyone to stay here in this lovely place, about 5 min drive from main town Salento!

This place is amazing! The host Luz who welcomes you and makes you feel at home is one of the nicest people I have met during my travels! She always wants to help with locals tips and destinations. We even found an awesome hike thanks to her to the local waterfalls! I will miss being greeted every morning and evening by her I truly felt at home here!
Now about the accommodation! I cannot recommend it enough. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay in the centre of salento as it’s to crowded and hectic this place is peaceful and relaxing away from the crowds but only a short distance from the main town. The bedroom was big and spacious with two beds and a great shower and strong wifi. The kitchen was huge and had everything you needed to cook for yourself! Beautiful surroundings and the sound of the river at night.
They have other rooms on Airbnb the complex is large but is also really homely. We met other travellers here and it was a great sense of community.
Do yourself a favour and stay here for your visit to salento you will not regret it!

Patricia speaks very good English and is extremely helpful. She is interested in your guests and creates a family atmosphere. We arrived hungry and thirsty after a very long bus ride in the late evening, Patricia first cooked us up a meal and saved the day a little. We really enjoyed the time at her place and highly recommend her as a host.
If we are in the area again, we will be happy to come back.

We had a really nice stay at Patricia’s house. The communication with her sister was really easygoing and were welcomed in a very nice way! Salento is a 30-min-hike away, but the trail starts directly next to the AirBnB. Therefore it’s really calm.

Absolute premium location just before Salento, beautifully quiet. We were immediately spoiled with fresh fruit by the hostess Patricia, for our excursions she organized everything that was really great. The best is the pathway from Salento through the jungle to the property. Great view on the terrace! I highly recommend this place.

Patricia’s place is lovely. It appears to be very new and all the facilities are excellent, nice rooms, wonderful shower, lovely view, big shared kitchen (although the rooms are private there is a shared kitchen)
Something to note- the location is outside Salento in a place called Bóquia. There are some hotels and restaurants on either side of a busy road but not much else. It’s not the easiest place to get to and from Salento. Previous reviews mention buses and Ubers. We couldn’t find any Ubers and you have to flag the buses down from the side of a busy and dangerous road, so getting to and from Salento can be difficult. We arrived in the dark one evening and got completely lost, even the local hotels and bus drivers did not know it. It felt dangerous wandering up and down a hairpin road in the pitch black. The location given on the map is correct, but a few pointers would help as you are out in the countryside.
If you want to escape from everything then this is a nice location. The hosts are very hospitable. If you are comfortable walking along the main road there are cafes and restaurants in walking distance

House is nice and big. Good for a large group of people. Fun area with sports equipment in the backyard. The listing promised creek access and when we arrived we were informed that creek access had been revoked and that we would instead need to drive down the road to a public access point, which took away from how much we were able to enjoy the house. Other than that a good place to stay.
